The Nebraska Early Development Network (EDN) provides early intervention services for families with children birth to age three with developmental delays and/or health care needs and connects families to needed services. Families, medical offices, and other liaisons can call the toll free number, 1-888-806-6287, and leave information that will be used to determine which EDN office to send an email referral to. In Nebraska, once a child turns 3, he or she and their family will work with their local school district. Nebraska ChildFind, a part of the EDN, provides information to parents, school personnel, and service providers on child development and special education for children from birth (or date of diagnosis) to age 21. ChildFind also helps parents access information on rights and resources to help them advocate for an appropriate education for their child.
